Coparents.com - Don't Sign Up, It's A Scam!

If you're wanting a sperm donor, at first coparents.com looks like a fantastic site. Truth is it has one focus - that is making money - and they scam users to do this.

They scam people through:

  1. Deliberate misrepresentation of pricing
  2. An extremely questionable charging method
  3. An unfamiliar paypal 'sellers name'
  4. And despite their claim membership is free - they do not have a trial period where you can use their service without paying. To actually trial you must sign up to a membership through paypal with your credit card.
  5. If trialling is your goal, the obvious membership is 1 month, which costs US$35. But this is where they get tricky.
  6. 1 month membership doesn't actually mean 1 month membership - it means you have signed up to an ongoing membership that you need to login to paypal to cancel.
  7. If you do manage to work out you've been scammed, Paypal's customer service representatives aren't 'capable enough' to understand what has happened, email you back, or call you. They aren't capable of much.

The pricing section on coparent.com website states:

1. Prices:
Membership 1 month: 25€/$34/£22
Membership 3 months: 45€/$59/£38

Membership 6 months: 65€/$85/£58

2. It does not refer to, or link to any Ts and Cs.
3. It mentions nothing about ongoing membership, the need to cancel, or what happens after membership ends.

These things are intentionally engineered and designed to create a situation where a user, wanting to trial, enters their credit card details, to then creates a paypal account (also part of the scam). If you have never used paypal before that works to the scammers advantage. And if you use paypal often it also works to the scammers advantage, because you won't realise what the payment is for. You see, coparents.com state themselves as being:

Seller's Name: ThankU SAS
Seller's Email: thanku.sas@gmail.com

This is pretty generic, and not representative of coparents.com at all. So to catch them out, you have to dig pretty deep.

General advice - don't sign up with coparents.com OR paypal.

  1. Hopefully you read this before signing up for a membership. I was a non paying member for 3-4 months, and just yesterday I decided to become a full member. Well I should have known better when they accept 'bitcoin' as a form of payment yet my credit cards were declined repeatedly on their system.

The website is located in France yet it primarily targets Americans/westerners.

Based on the fact that the hackers are located near Paris, Frace, they primarily target westerners, their strange names/emails, and the most damning evidence, they accept bitcoin....A clear indication this sites owner is involved in illegal and illicit activities likely involving criminal enterprise and terrorist networks. Please do not feed your money to the enemy.

I likely just sent $34.00 to radical Islamic extremists that believe it is morally acceptable to steal from all non Muslims.

The site is not very elaborate or complex. It seems they have a few different hackers constantly creating new profiles to create a mirage of user traffic and participation.

After I finally had access to my membership, it was clear foreign hackers were at work. I received the same message from the same user about 9 times.

REFUND MY MONEY. Wait, they unregistered and deleted all my accounts. I will do everything in my power to get this site on the radar of the FBI cyber task force, NSA, CIA, etc. I don't think it should be too difficult for them to shut it down.

  2. Do you know if coparents.com or ThankU SAS is registered as a business in the USA? I am getting ready to file a civil action against this guys, and I am searching for their agent for service of process. These guys are fraudulent and I will set my account straight with them. I would love to see a class action lawsuit once my civil action succeeds.

  3. To follow up on my previous post, I am currently asserting my rights against Coparents.com and PayPal. Their predatory tactics will catch up to them. I invite you all to also assert your rights and file small claims complaints against these unscrupulous entities.

I provide additional details in my blog: bundle-of-rights.com

I sure hope a class action lawsuit arises from their predatory tactics. And I sure hope their predatory tactics drive them to the ground.
